I am grateful for the blessings of Christian education. My journey began at Our Redeemer Lutheran School in second grade. Through the care of my teachers and study of God’s Word, I felt at home. Decades later, I still enjoy lifelong friendships created at ORLS. My decision to become a teacher was grounded in my experiences at Our Redeemer and Lakeside Lutheran High School. Interestingly enough, I have been blessed with the humbling opportunity to return to ORLS to serve the students and families. At ORLS, God’s Word is at work in young hearts and minds. Teachers and families partner to train the next generation of believers in Christ. The foundation of God’s Word permeates our classrooms. Teachers apply God’s Word, Law and Gospel, in their discipline and training. Students develop a Christian worldview by studying all subjects through the lens of God’s Word. ORLS is supported by a congregation that cherishes Christian education. Our volunteer base is dedicated to extending the ministry beyond what our staff can schedule into a day. New families that visit Our Redeemer for the first time often comment on the warm, inviting climate, engaged and supportive faculty, faithful students at work, and something that stands out as unique and exceptional. All these fruits can be traced back to God’s Word at work. Christian education is a priceless investment in your child’s future. God has promised to be with us, take care of us, and bless us with what we need. When we seek first his kingdom and righteousness, he takes care of all our other needs as well (Matt 6:33).
